For people suffering from this disorder, it is just impossible to sit still, and they keep dashing around. They do repetitive motions such as tapping their pencils, wiggling their feet or something like this to burn the excessive energy.

Combined attention deficit disorder symptoms include mix of the inattention and hyperactivity symptoms. Since school environment demands attention, concentration and focus for extended periods of time, teachers are usually able to identify attention deficit disorder symptoms in kids. For this disorder, there are no lab test or x-ray to diagnose, as there are no clear physical signs. It can only be identified by the professional by looking at characteristic behaviors, and these behaviors vary from person to person.

Attention deficit syndrome is more common in boys as compared to girls, and children suffering from this disorder have a difficult time with studies and other activities related to schooling. ADD is a neurological developmental disability mainly affecting children. Research has indicated that ADD is cause by genetic transmission of condition to children by their parents, or can also be caused by the deficiency of certain neurotransmitters or chemical imbalance.

Attention deficit disorder symptoms are different in boys and girls, and girls tend to be inattentive, whereas boys tend to be hyperactive.
